I chose this John Muir quote because going to Cabrillo National Monument i didn't expect to enjoy it or gain anything useful. But besides learning stuff from reading things i gained something more. Just sitting on a ledge staring out at the bay and rocky cliffs gave me a peace of mind, it was like i was meditating. I wasn't thinking or worrying about anything, i was just...there. In that moment. And it was completely worth walking around in the cold.
